We have handcrafted the piercing banana from gold, 18-karat yellow gold (750/000), with this stunning aquamarine in our goldsmith workshop.
Construction of the Piercing Banana
The aquamarine is securely set in a classic closed setting by hand.
A piercing banana is a curved barbell (piercing pin). On one end, there is the set aquamarine, and on the other end, there is a thread where the counter ball is screwed on. The length of the piercing bar is custom-made according to your preferences. The thread has a 1.6 mm metric size.
If you order the version with the piercing ball, it has a diameter of 4 mm. We are more than happy to provide you with a piercing ball of 5 mm or 6 mm, please send us an inquiry for that.
Materials used in this Piercing Banana:
The jewelry is made from 18-karat yellow gold (750/000).
The gemstone used is an aquamarine. The aquamarine belongs to the beryl group. The same group includes emerald, golden beryl, and morganite. This beautiful aquamarine impresses with its uniquely blue color and purity.
The aquamarine has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale. Its refractive index ranges from 1.564 to 1.569 with a birefringence of 0.004 to 0.005.
Uses of the Piercing Banana:
This piercing banana can be worn as a navel piercing as well as for some intimate piercings, such as the vertical clitoral hood piercing or the Christina piercing. Additionally, piercing bananas are suitable for certain ear piercings.
Customization of this Piercing Banana with a smaller aquamarine and a 1.2 mm barbell size for an eyebrow piercing is also possible. Please send us an inquiry for this.
